Sectional Garage Doors
Technical Data Sheets

Our sectional garage doors use 2 technical bases: "mono-rail" or "double-rails", referring to the rail guidance systems that equip them.

Doors with a mono-rail are suitable for doors with a height up to 2125mm and are quicker to install, but always require motorization.

The double-rail system is justified for tall sectional doors (beyond 2125mm in height) or for manual sectional doors.

Mono-Rail System

The mono-rail system is characterized by a single guiding rail on each side of the door. All bearings are thus guided in the same rail, whether on the vertical part in the closed position or on the horizontal part in the open position.

This implies having an articulated roller support on the top panel to allow the last panel to be placed against the door frame. This articulated support also provides the possibility of a partial opening of the top panel to have a ventilation position while the curtain is still on the ground.

System available for doors up to a height of 2125mm inclusive.

System compatible only with motorized doors, as the motor is necessary for the top panel to close. Of course, in occasional use (e.g., power outage), it is still possible to open the door manually.

Double-Rail System

The double-rail system is characterized by a paired parallel double rail on the horizontal part of the guidance system.

The upper rail is solely used to guide the highest roller of the top panel. Therefore, the support for this roller does not need to be articulated and is fixed, unlike the single-rail system. The top panel of the door will be pressed against the frame without the aid of a motor, thanks to specific guidance.

System available for doors with a maximum height of 3000mm.

System compatible with manual or motorized sectional doors.

What lintel drop do I need?

How to determine the minimum lintel drop for a motorized sectional garage door? It's quite simple!

For a motorized sectional door, we recommend a lintel drop of at least 150mm (the motor rail is thus placed 20mm above the top crossbar).

Therefore, for a height of 2000mm under the lintel, you need at least 2150mm under the ceiling.

If you do not have this space, we also have other solutions to meet your needs.

Our extended upper crossbeam, offered as an option on all our sectional door ranges, allows you to create the necessary false lintel, regardless of your lintel drop and even if you wish to perform it under a slab.

The motor rail encumbrance is integrated into this solution and the holes for rail fixation are already made.
