All our overhead garage doors are equipped with a unique model of tension spring: the spring A. Only their number varies depending on the size and insulation of your door.
Doors from before 2000 equipped with a single spring on each side (diameter 5 to 6 centimeters) have become non-compliant for safety reasons. With our multi-springs, if one breaks, your garage door will not fall. Our hooks, loops, brackets, and straps allow these spring kits to be easily adapted to most overhead doors on the market.
When one of your old springs breaks, it is advisable to change the springs on both sides of your overhead garage door to maintain an identical pulling force on the left and right. Otherwise, your door could become unbalanced.
If needed, our team is here to advise you on the repair to be carried out on your garage door, do not hesitate to contact us.
The installation of a single single spring on each side of a tilting garage door was widespread until the beginning of the 2000s, but now the standard currently in effect forbids us to propose it, in favor of multi-springs. Our current system is retrocompatible, to allow you to change your springs and repair your door, without the need to change it! We have thus designed a single spring model (type a), whose installed number will vary the power. Thus, for small tilting garage door of 240cm wide by 200cm high, in single sheet, 3 springs "Type A" by side of the door will suffice. On the other hand on a 3m gate of width, isolated 60mm and with an integrated gate, we can go up to 7 springs per side. All these small springs will replace your old big springs.
Profit? In case of breakage of a spring, your door will not fall sharply, because still supported by all other springs. In addition, the replacement of a single small spring A is then possible, at lower fresh. Our springs are designed and manufactured in a particular steel alloy, ensuring flexibility and rigidity, with an average life of 20,000 cycles, which to provide them with 15 years of operation at the rate of 4 daily openings of your door.
To keep these springs hold on your door, we imagined different supports, all of which are attached to the bottom of the tilting door and up on the strap that is connected to the bottom oscillating. This strap serves to adjust the power of the springs and allow their ideal positioning whatever the height of your door. Our tilting garage door springs can via all these tricks ride on the doors of our manufacture, but also on doors of other large European manufacturers, such as Hormann, Novoferm or Tubauto.
Tip for changing your springs: Block your garage door in the open position using a seal on each side, to change your springs safely. In this position, your springs will not be in tension, you can remove them more easily and without risk of injury.
