These brackets allow you to attach your type A springs to the bottom of the post and the arm of your tilting door. You can place up to 7 Type A springs per side with these brackets. The old single "large springs" placed on each side of the old tilting garage doors are now non-compliant. We use a single spring model by varying their number. These springs are assembled using this pair of brackets.

They thus limit the movement of the door leaf.  If your garage door nevertheless shifts too much to one side, you may want to reconsider the parallelism of the tracks.
